Schlosspark Mauerbach

Returning to Schlosspark in August 2023 was a letdown (previously visited a few times). The absence of a warm welcome was stark, with not even a smile from the staff upon arrival. This set a cold and unwelcoming tone for our stay. A significant discomfort was the hotel's decision to turn off the air conditioning during a sweltering August night, with temperatures around 28 degrees Celsius. This disregard for guest comfort was surprising and unacceptable. Our dinner experience was notably saved by a couple of very friendly and attentive waiters, whose service was a highlight in an otherwise disappointing visit. However, breakfast was a letdown with meals compromised by bugs and flies. This was not only unappetizing but also concerning, and it was disheartening to see that no staff took initiative to address this issue. The overall management and ambiance of the hotel seemed to have declined since our last visit, indicating it might be time to explore other adult-only hotels for future stays. Not recommended with this management.

A fantastic experience. We stayed for 2 nights on the spa package. The spa, food and rooms were perfect. Spa was clean with enough space for everyone. Food was fresh, local and tasty. And the room was very clean, modern and well equipped. In addition, the staff were very professional and helpful, catering to any needs. Our highlight was the fact that the chef came out of his kitchen to discuss our dietary requirements directly with us. This is the first time such an instance has occurred for us and showed immense care for our dietary needs. 5 stars!

What an incredible place to stay! The hotel and the grounds are beautiful, the pool area is amazing and the spa facilities seemed never ending at first. We were very impressed by the food, a huge spread at breakfast and delicious fruit, smoothies, cakes and other snacks from the Spa bistro. The service at dinner was very good, thank you especially to George who made our dinners relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. Only thing is perhaps the vegetarian dishes could be a bit better but we were expecting this coming to Austria. I used the gym but was slightly disappointed there wasn’t a treadmill (although there are beautiful woods nearby to run in). Such a beautiful place and very friendly staff, I’ve never felt more relaxed and couldn’t recommend more!

Beautiful and well maintained hotel close to Vienna and yet surrounded by the forest (Wienerwald). One could easily get there by car and by public transportation, its 5 min walk from the 450 bus. The hotel has its own small park around, so every room has a park view and no noise in the night. A complementary package of sauna towels, slippers and mineral water was provided free of charge. The saunas are open from 10h in the morning untill 22 in the evening. The meals are tasty and many of the ingredients are provided by local farms and suppliers. My room had separate toilet and bathroom (with bathtub and shower) and large windows with beautiful view. All rooms are air-conditioned. The staff is friendly and efficient. Will visit once again to stay longer.

I couldn’t expect such a wonderful relax in an Austrian hotel. We made a trip there from Vienna very spontaneous, because we just got some days off and we didn’t regret it. Fabulous variations of saunas, amazing views everywhere we took a deck chair (btw they have different types of them), incredible pool (I’m not a fan of cold water, so these guys offer you a pool with 30 degrees inside 😅) and that’s only about the wellness part. I really enjoyed their gym, can recommend it for everyone who goes to. Let’s move to the next big topic - Food! So delicious like you really deserve it when you’re getting something with a “Superior” near to the name of a place. What is also funny, that you can eat almost every day. Finally the room was perfect: air condition is good controlled, picturesque view from the window and very comfy bed. Thank you!
